Lacey,

This series was written with my experience of when I worked for a large grocery store chain as a buyer. I was able to take my office job home with me for 14 months and it was an eye opening experience. I was unable at the time to convince them to let me do a long term work from home arrangement so I left the company to work for myself and we moved to a smaller town. Since then I have been doing some writing, some other projects, and helping my wife with her photography business. The main reason for this change was to spend more time with our family and we happily gave up a lot of our unnecessary consumption. I would happily return to my original employer but only if I could work from home the majority of time. The real motivation for my work at home series was to show the benefits for companies to allow employees to work from home as I feel this is a great way to retain good employees and allow them to live a slower, more family based lifestyle. I hope this helps

Hi Martin -

Lacey here again. You did reply to my message I had wrote you yesterday and I have read 1 - 4 of your blog. I was wondering if you could tell me how you actually made working from home for yourself work. What exactly do you do to get paid etc...

Please get back to me when you get a chance.

Thank you
