I feel that discussing natural disasters, and the devestation that they can bring to an area, is important for children. In this case learn what a tsunami is and how they happen. I would tend to discuss the devestation aspect in moderation but use it for a tool to make sure that your family is prepared in case a natural disaster were to happen in your area.
